Minecraft Adventures -  In this class your child will be exploring the world of Minecraft. We will learn the basics of Minecraft, while also digging into the more advanced features. This class will be full of fun adventures and builds. So come join the fun!

Eagle Ballers - Mr. and Mrs. Donnelly will be looking for ANYONE who HAS or HAS NOT played basketball before! This will be an Eagle Time designed to teach those who may have NEVER played before AND those who HAVE played before (on a team or just at home!). We will work on skill development: ball handling, defensive stance, passing, shooting, etc. We will also enjoy drills and games to promote the skill practice in various scenarios. We are SO excited to have YOU come ball with us!  :)

Introduction to Fencing - This class will teach the basics of fencing footwork, bladework, and tactics. Students will learn foundational techniques for fencing that will emphasize hand foot and eye coordination, critical thinking, and split second decision making skills. Reaction games, drills, and group bouting will all be done in a safe and structured environment that allows young minds to explore a graceful and challenging sport!

Art Club - Art Club will allow students to explore their creativity through various mediums.  The projects will be chosen by students in the club and in the past have included such projects as paper marbling, creating bookmarks, watercolor, acrylic painting on small canvases, and creating sketchbooks.

Musical Theater - Students will learn how to be confident performers in singing, acting, and dancing. As a class we will decide on a scene from a musical to practice and perform during the 6 weeks. We will learn lines, a song, and a dance for the performance. Students who would like to will have opportunities to perform a solo and/or speak lines.

Lego Club - Lego Club gives students a chance to explore problem solving strategies through Legos. There will be different challenges to complete as well as a themed build for each session.  We will have individual and team building activities throughout the session as well.

Board Game Club - Students will learn about and play a variety of card and board games. Not only will they have fun playing games, but students will also practice good sportsmanship and strategic thinking.

Music Club - Music Club includes drumming, ukulele, recorder, xylophones, and singing.  Students will have some choice in which areas above they would like to focus on the most during our time in Music Club.

Dance Around the World - Learn about cultures from around the world through social and folk dances.  We will share cultural fun facts of the regions/countries supporting each dance.

Literature Games and Stories - Literature Games will be played. We will focus on reading games and develop literacy skills through play! Each class will have multiple stations with literacy games and the class will end with an interactive read aloud. Let’s play and explore the amazing world of children’s literacy!

Bring Your Favorite Book - I will start each class with reading one of my favorite children’s books. Then will allow everyone time to read one of their favorite books. Children can read to themselves, me or to each other.

Crozet Pokemon League - In this class, students will learn how to build a deck and compete in the Pokemon Trading Card Game. While playing, students will be practicing math fluency, reading comprehension, strategic thinking, and good sportsmanship. Do you want to be the very best? Or at least have a ton of fun with Pokemon? Then bring your deck and sign up!

I agree to pick my child up promptly at the end of the class. Children participating in Eagle Time – and not returning to the Extended Day Enrichment Program (EDEP) – must be picked-up by their parents or guardian promptly at the completion of Eagle Time courses (3:30 PM on Monday – Wednesday) at the Parent Pick up location. An approved parent or guardian will be required to provide their signature on the attendance sheet at the time of dismissal. Only approved parents and guardians will be allowed to pick up child at the end of the Eagle Time class.

Repeated failure to do so may result in student dismissal from the Eagle Time program without a refund.

There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for bullying in Eagle Time which is in line with ACPS Policies which can be found here :
https://www.k12albemarle.org/for-students/bullying-prevention
** Students may be removed from Eagle Time classes without refund for bullying as defined by ACPS**

Classes may be dropped prior to the first day of class for full refund. After classes have started, there are no refunds. There is potentially the option to switch to another class if there is space available.
